You may feel good, but are you truly healthy?
With Cenegenics Explore, you will know. We come to you, draw some blood and in 10 to 12 days, one of our health providers calls you to discuss the results of 50 essential biomarkers for cardiometabolic health, kidney and liver operation, plus hormone production and function.
With Cenegenics Explore, you will learn more about your:
•Insulin Sensitivity - Optimal insulin sensitivity is essential for maintaining overall health and longevity. By assessing your fasting blood sugar and hemoglobin A1c, insights into weight control, increased energy and metabolic function are captured. Fasting blood glucose (blood sugar) represents what is occurring in the short-term and hemoglobin A1c represent the average blood glucose concentration over the past 3 to 4 months.
•Healthy Kidney Function - Your kidneys’ roles are to remove waste and excess fluid from the blood. Measuring and identifying waste products in the blood provides insights into abnormalities related to kidney function.
•Healthy Liver Function - Liver function tests identify levels of certain enzymes and proteins in a person’s blood. Abnormal levels can indicate potential liver problems and are commonly used to monitor changes in liver function.
•Cholesterol & Triglycerides - Cholesterol & Triglycerides are fats and fatty substances used as a source of energy by a person’s body. Abnormalities in cholesterol (“bad” and “good” cholesterol) and/or triglycerides can increase risk for developing heart disease
•Testosterone - Testosterone levels are assessed by testing both total testosterone and free testosterone. Testosterone is primarily recognized as a “male” hormone, but is present in both men (produced in testes) and women (produced in ovaries). Abnormal testosterone levels can lead to fatigue, depression, weak bones, loss of muscle mass and changes in sex drive.
•DHT - This test measures the amount of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in your blood. DHT is a beneficial, powerful hormone and is most commonly known for its role in male pattern baldness and prostate growth when abnormal.
•Estradiol - The estradiol test measures the amount of estradiol in your blood. Normal levels of estrogen are essential for reproductive health. Abnormal estrogen levels can lead to lower bone mass, depression, and urinary tract infections.
•PSA - The PSA test measures the amount of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in your blood. High levels may indicate an enlarged or inflamed prostate and may represent an increased risk of prostate cancer.
